Katherine Penney Chic Fashion Blogger Style Outfit Pastel Neutrals Pretty Winter Scarf Blur

I need to apologise for the lack of posts this last week. It has been pretty busy with university and everything, but I handed my coursework in yesterday and it feels like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Plus I am looking forward to getting back into posting again.

So I thought that I would share with you the outfit that I wore yesterday (today has been more of a lounge pants and messy bun kind of day!).

My mum and I share a huge scarf collection. And when I say huge we are talking roughly 70+! She has always loved scarves as an accessory or a way to add colour or pattern to an outfit and I have just picked up that part of her style.

I only brought a few of my favourite scarves up with me to uni but the other day I was getting dressed and remembered that we had this scar and asked her to send it up to me. We got this one last year at the Christmas markets in London, after falling in love with the unique water marked print. I just love the colours in this and it looks perfect with navy or grey.

I wore the scarf with my favourite grey jumper from H&M, a silver heart necklace, my pearl earrings and a little bracelet. I kept everything pretty simple and elegant so that the scarf would be the focus of the look.

I also wore some black jeans from Zara, to balance out all the neutrals! And my rose gold watch as I don't really see the harm in mixing gold and silver jewellery. Rules are made to be broken!

One of my favourite nail polishes at the moment is this rose gold shade from ORLY. Thought that this would look perfect with the outfit. And I actually did a full review of this which you can have a read of here

Hope you are all well and liked this outfit post. I am sure scarves are going to become even more of a staple for me as the weather is now so cold. Although all the Christmas lights are up and everything looks so pretty so I can sort of deal with the chill! Speak soon xx

Neutrals

Neutrals

Katherine Penney Chic Blogger Fashion Style Outfit Winter Neutrals Trench Coat Scarf White Pastel Pretty

This outfit is basically my style in one look. Simple classic pieces in neutral tones. The weather is getting so much colder and the evenings are getting darker sooner but I still love wearing these lighter shades.

This coat is still my favourite. I love the classic trench coat style and how it smartens up an outfit. Zara always does really beautiful coats.

The top that I am wearing is a really beautiful white 3/4 sleeved top from Joules. It is quite a summery piece but layered under more wintery piece like in this outfit it adds a nice texture and still works really well. I'm also wearing my H&M grey wool scarf which I am still obsessing over. It is just the warmest cosiest thing and I feel like I am wearing a huge blanket!

For this simple classic look I kept my makeup nice and natural. A subtle brown smokey eye with a little bit of liquid liner and a natural pinky lip colour. The lip colour that I am wearing is one of the Rimmel London Kate Moss ones that also feature in my most recent favourites.

I am writing this post while sitting in Nero with a white chocolate mocha (my favourite) and a warm muffin. Very blogger style! I even took a picture of the whole set up! It is so lovely and making me think that I should do this more often, but I'm not sure my purse will stretch that far. Although while we don't have wifi it is a nice little treat after a long day! And the perfect way to start the weekend xx

The Blanket Scarf

The Blanket Scarf

I am so excited to share my new winter scarf with you. I say scarf, but I've been using it as a blanket justas much! I think it is the best purchase that I have made in a while, well since my Longchamp bag!

I will be the first to admit that a scarf is the last thing I needed. I have way too many, but my collection was missing just a simple plain grey scarf. I have wanted the typical ACNE scarf for years, so when I spotted this one in H&M for about a quarter of the price I felt like it was made just for me!
It's 100% wool and is honestly so warm and cosy. As a scarf or a blanket!

I have been wearing this so often recently as the weather has started to get much colder. but this is one of my favourite ways to wear it, thin white jumper, dark jeans, my leather jacket and this big grey scarf. It is such a simple outfit, partly inspired by my favourite fashion blogger, Mariannan. I love the different textures and the monochromatic colours that make this outfit feel really classic.

Hope you like this simple outfit post. If you are interested in the scarf then you can check it out here. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend xx

Today's Outfit Details

Today's Outfit Details

Katherine Penney Chic Fashion Style Tartan Jumper Knit Silver Jewellery

Just wanted to share with you some details from my outfit today. It's a pretty casual outfit as today I just had a lecture in the morning. I'm wearing my new white Zara knit that I just can't get enough of. It's so soft and I love the lace details on the sleeve.

I've also draped this beautiful checked scarf around my neck for a pop of print and colour. This one I found on Ebay ages ago but I think it looks a lot more expensive. I also kept my jewellery really simple with this silver heart necklace that I wear most days.

I think my gold watch goes perfectly with this outfit too and I am just in love with this lace detail on the jumper.

You might recognise a few of these pieces from my last post. These are the items that I wear everyday as they all have sentimental value. My Pandora bracelet, my turtle bracelet and my silver elephant rings.

I made this outfit a little more dressy and preppy by wearing dark jeans and my new high leather boots. I love how smart these look and they are also really comfortable.

Hope you like this quick post. I'm hoping to squeeze a Valentines day most in tomorrow. Let me guys know in the comments below if you have any plans, I'd love to hear about them. xx

Mixing Prints - Stripes And Scarf

Mixing Prints - Stripes And Scarf

Another little outfit post on the blog today. I paired this simple grey and white striped top with this beautiful green scarf print scarf. I think that the contrast of the prints and and colours of both pieces work really well together. On my bottom half I wore a plain pair of denim jeans and kept my jewellery and makeup nice and simple. This Topshop lipstick in the shade Mink is my absolute favourite at the moment.

Striped top - Gap
Scarf - Accessorize
Jeans - Dorothy Perkins

Bracelet - Pandora
Lipstick - Topshop (Mink)
Watch - Nixon
Elephant ring - From Camden market
Perfume - Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs

Hope you all like this little outfit post. I am really sorry but I won't be able to post again probably until Sunday. Tonight I am going up to Durham to visit my boyfriend at university. I haven't seen him in a month so I am super excited! Hope you all have a lovely weekend. Speak soon xx

Tartan Scarf and Khaki Jeans

Tartan Scarf and Khaki Jeans

Over the last few days the weather has suddenly started to get a lot colder so I feel like now it is acceptable for me to start getting out all of my scarves! I love this scarf that I got a few years ago on Ebay when I loved Jack Wills but didn't really have the money to buy stuff from there. Tartan always looks good in Autumn and Winter and I love the beautiful colours in this scarf. Because this scarf is quite bold I kept the rest of my outfit really simple with these khaki jean/jennings that I picked up the other day for £13 from H&M and an old white H&M V-neck jumper. For shoes I just wore my new Converses which I have basically been living in since I bought them a few weeks ago. And I wore my rose gold Nixon watch that I wear everyday and my gold necklace and rings from H&M which were in a post on Tuesday.

Let me know what you think of these outfits and whether you like reading my outfit posts. I really enjoy showing different pieces and what I would wear them with as an outfit. Hope you are all having a lovely day xx
