I really liked my outfit from yesterday, don't you love it when you find a new way to wear clothes you already own? And while I didn't get around to taking outfit photos I thought I would share it with you today.

Despite the snow at the beginning of March it has really started to feel like Spring again. I'm even leaving he house now with sunglasses and without a coat! So this was a casual outfit for wondering around town on a Sunday.

I will be the first to admit that I probably have a bit of a stripey top obsession. Click here if you are the same and want a bit of a chuckle. But this grey version is a nice change to the navy/black and white. It's also one of the only long sleeved tops that I own.

It was the first time this year that I felt it was warm enough to wear my brown loafers. I love how classic and preppy these are but also the fact that they are actually comfy! I also wore my beautiful Zara scarf for an extra layer when it got a little colder in the late afternoon.

I am in love with this faux shearling gilet and now that the weather is a little warmer I can't wait to pair it with everything. It's cool but classic, and very cosy. The pockets are big enough that you could easily go out without a bag and it's the perfect length.

I love the subtle prints and the different textures of this look. Today was another lovely day weather wise and I am really excited for Spring style.

Printed Blouse And Fur Gilet

Printed Blouse And Fur Gilet

Katherine Penney Chic Style Fashion Fur Gilet Blouse Zara Print Clothes

Hope that everyone is having a lovely relaxing Bank Holiday Monday. I have hardly done anything today apart from wash my bedding and my hair! I guess that's sort of productive...

Anyway, I have another outfit post to share with you today that I have been wearing a lot recently. It's perfect for that in between sort for weather that we are still having here in Manchester.

I got this shirt a while back from Forever 21. When I saw it in the shops I thought that it looked like something from Zara but for half the price. It's covered in a subtle ram print which I think is a bit different but really cute. This shirt pairs perfectly with my Zara fur gilet. I honestly don't know what I did before this gilet, I wear it so often! And then I finished off the look with my rose gold watch.

I love this subtle but unusual print.

Sorry, that I haven't been around much recently again. Just finishing off all my coursework and I've got a few things coming up to prepare for. Also my camera doesn't seem to want to fix itself which means that I can't take any photos for new posts. You might have noticed that I missed my monthly favourites. I am still desperate to do one when I have my camera back, it just might be a little later on in the month.

This Friday after all of my coursework handins I am actually going home for about 3 weeks before my exam at the beginning of June. I can't wait to get back home and see my family again, and hopefully there will be a bit of sun so I can start working on my base tan - while revising of course!

Leather Jacket And Fur Gilet

Leather Jacket And Fur Gilet

The jacket in question is this Topshop faux leather jacket with a detachable fur collar which I bought about 2 years ago now. I get so much wear out of this it is crazy as it is perfect for everyday or in the evenings when I am going out and want to keep myself a bit warm.

There are a few buttons that can attach/detach the collar from the jacket.

I won't take any credit for coming up with this layering idea as I remember seeing it in a picture a while back. But it has started to get a little bit colder now and more often just a leather jacket or just a fur gilet isn't quite enough. Layering a fur gilet over a leather jacket is a great alternative to a coat and something a little bit different that you can do using things you may already have in your wardrobe.

I wish that I could take a photo showing myself wearing this look so you could get an idea of what it looks like on but sadly I haven't worked out how to set up my camera to focus yet! But I hope that you try out this little fashion idea and let me know in the comments what you think of it.

Also I wanted to quickly apologise for the lack of posts over the past few days. This weekend I went to stay in Leeds with my best friend as I hadn't seen her in such a long time. I had such a great time seeing where she was staying and meeting all her new university friends and having a catch up.

Hope you are all well :) xx

The Perfect Fur Gilet? Opinions Please

The Perfect Fur Gilet? Opinions Please

I've spent so many winters looking for the perfect fur gilet but I've never been able to find one that matches the one that I have in my head. I want the fur gilet to be a lightish brown, long enough to cover part of my bum, to have pockets but no other details, fringing, embellishment or a collar and to be reasonable prices. So when I saw this one for only £40 from Zara I did a little celebratory dance and ordered it straight away.

Two days later (I know, I'm impressed!) it arrived beautiful packaged. I think because I'd thought I'd finally found my perfect fur gilet I had very high expectation for how this would look. So when I tried it on I was slightly shocked about the fit. In most clothes I'm a size 8 or a small and normally in jumpers and outwear which I like to be a little bigger so I can layer up I get the size above. However I ordered this in a small thinking this would be the perfect size and to me it comes across as a little too big. I don't know if this is meant to be the style of the fur gilet or not though.

So I'm asking for all your opinions on whether you think this is the style and I should keep it or if it just looks a bit shapeless and I should send it back. I did check on the website for a size small but sadly this is the smallest size that they do. I'm so torn as part of me thinks in the winter I will want it slightly bigger to wear with jumpers and scarves (note I'm only wearing it with a thin top in the pictures) and another part of me thinks that my body just looks a bit lost under this and it doesn't flatter my body shape. But then I've also spent years looking for a fur gilet and this is by far the closest that I have ever come to finding the perfect one. I don't know where else to look sticking to my price range with is probably £70 at most. So I'd really appreciate it if you took the time to leave me a quick comment saying whether you think I should keep it or not. Or also if you know where I might be able to find another one like this then that would be amazing too.
Thank you xx
