Little Lush Surprise

Little Lush Surprise

thumb_IMG_2654_1024

I have literally spent the whole of today at my desk doing a fun mix of revision and coursework. So when my little sister got back from her shopping trip (I wish I was still 13!) and surprised me with my favourite LUSH bathbomb, Butterball it was the reward that I needed. I thought I would take a quick break to take a pretty picture and write up a quick blogpost. Although it does mean I still haven't really moved from my desk yet!

I know that I have already talked about this product on my blog before, but I think it might even be over a year ago now. I don't actually find myself in LUSH that often, all the different scents can get a bit overwhelming for me and for some reason I tend to get a sore throat. But of the LUSH products that I have tried this is the one that I will always repurchase. It smells clean and fresh but adds a small amount of oil or "butter" to the bath that leaves my skin feeling so silky smooth.

The idea of a LUSH bath this evening is making me so excited. I only shower at when I am at uni and avoid the bath altogether for hygiene reasons, the idea of using a bath in a student house wouldn't make me feel clean! So for me going home means seeing my family and dog, a bed where I can't feel the springs and a nice hot bath.

Hope you all have a nice relaxing evening xx

Lush Bubble Bath

Lush Bubble Bath

Katherine Penney Chic Lush Bubble Bath Evening

I know that a lot of people out there love Lush but I've never really been one of those girls. Occasionally I'll walk into the shop, have a little sniff of some of the products and then leave empty handed. It's not that I don't like it, it's just that I find a lot of the smells overpowering and more often than not the shop gives me a bit of a headache after a while.

But having been at university for the last few month one thing that I had found I really missed was a nice long soak in a bath. So when I was in Westfield on Monday I decided to treat myself to a bath bomb to celebrate my first bath for such a long time.

I smelt basically all of the bath bombs that Lush had to offer until they all started to smell the same and I was getting confused! But in the end the one that I chose was a really nice simple one. The smell is relaxing and slightly sweet but not so strong that it is offensive.

And I didn't realise until after I used this (although I probably should have from the name!) that this has little pieces of their butter bar in. So when the bath bomb dissolves you are left with little pieces of the butter bar in the bath that slowly melt into the water leaving a kind of oil in the bath that then makes your skin feel amazing. My skin actually felt and looked amazing after my bath which I really didn't think was going to happen. I thought this was just going to change the colour of my water a little and make my bath smell nice, but it did so much more.

I lit lots of candles and placed them around my bath as this helps me to relax even more. I also had some Taylor playing to sing a long to! Singing in the bath is so much better than singing in the shower as you can't get water in your mouth and the sound is so much better!!

I really loved using this bath bomb and actually wish that I had got a few more! So I would definitely recommend this one if you haven't tried it already. Also I would love to hear in the comments below your favourite Lush products.
