Little White Dress

 

 

For our second to last evening in Kefalonia we went out to a lovely hotel for some cocktails in the outdoor bar over looking the sea. Granted I was the only one who actually ordered a cocktail, but it was the perfect excuse to wear my new dress! 

 

 

I bought the dress online a few weeks ago from the Mango sale. It is a beautiful white lace dress, and very me. I actually ordered it hoping that it would arrive in time for my holiday to Spain but as luck would have it the parcel was dropped off probably around the same time my flight was taking off! 

 

The dress is in a shift dress style which isn't something I usually wear. But I love how this looks, it's so comfy and I can eat as much as I want for dinner and it won't show! The lining is also slightly shorter so the lace overlay shows at the hemline which is so pretty. 

 

 

I think this dress is really versatile and could be worn with sandals during the day or heels for a dressier look. I decided to go for a more bohemian look which is my favourite style for holiday. I threw on loads of my favourite jewellery, including my turtle and shell necklace, hamsa long necklace, elephant ring and gold watch. And paired with my pink nail polish, Essie's cute as a button, I love how this works together.

Once again I have to apologise for the lack of posts over the last few days. I think my camera issues have finally been solved!
Tomorrow is our last day here, aka my last day to work on my holiday tan! I'm so sad to be leaving as it is so beautiful here. But I also can't wait to be back in my bedroom and to see my friends and boyfriend again. 

 

Hope you liked my Little White Dress post. It is one of my favourite clothing items right now and I am desperate to wear it again, although I think when I get back home the likelihood that it will be weather appropriate is very slim!

Holiday Randoms 

Thought that I would share with you some random pictures from my holiday so far. I have been blogging most days and I am constantly with my camera snapping away, not all of my favourite holiday photos have made it in to blog posts. So these are just all of the extra ones! Hope you like them.

We were all in the car and I made my dad pull over so I could get some shots of this amazing view. And also to post in front of it! 

Had dinner tonight by this beautiful harbour in Fiskado. I loved looking at all the different boats as well. Some of them were huge. 

Tomorrow we have hired a boat for the day and we are going to sail around and hopefully find some beautiful hidden beaches to put our anchor down and swim to. And hopefully I can take some good snaps as well, although my camera has just started playing up a little typical! Speak soon xx

Crystal Wasters

Crystal Wasters 

Today we found my favourite beach so far. It was just magical. Bright blue skies and beautiful turquoise waters. I wish we could have stayed there even longer but after a while it almost gets too hot and you start to feel like you have probably seen enough sun for one day. 

 

I lost count of the number of times that I went swimming in the sea! I'd try and sunbathe a bit and then get too hot and need to get into the water to cool down. But seriously, how beautiful is this view? I climbed over the rocks at one point and took so many photographs as I want to remember this forever. 

 

We got to the beach pretty early this morning, the earliest morning I have had in a while! It was nice to get there before it go really hot, while the sun was more bearable. We had a little picnic for lunch and then left after one last swim to get some ice lollies. 

 

I got back and showered all the salt off and now I am already in bed in my pyjamas sorting though some of my holiday photos and doing some editing, I think we are staying in for dinner tonight so it is going to be pyjamas all evening now! Speak soon :) xx

Sunshine And Salty Hair 

Had another amazing day today in the sunshine. We woke up late again (I have still not adjusted to the two hour time difference!) and spent what was left of the morning lazing around by the pool. After lunch we walked to a beach that my dad and brother had swum to the day before. It was a little bit of a hike, clambering over rocks, which was made worse by the 40° heat!

But it was another absolutely beautiful bay. And after a few hours there we had it all to ourselves! This was my favourite spot, by the tree and a crystal clear water. 

This is my favourite bikini that I don't think I have shown yet on my blog. I got it for this Summer in the Asos sale and I love the print and the fit. It's cute and fun and the colours remind me of holiday. 

I love the sun on my skin and the salt in my hair. Well, I like it when my hair goes into sort of beachy waves, but most of the time it just looks like it needs a serious brush! I've taken to wearing it in plaits a lot and then it dries into waves which I love. 

And I finally feel like my tan is coming along. I do worry about sun damage which is why I tan pretty slowly as I wear a really high factor and reapply my suncream like every hour! But despite the danger, like most people I do love having a bit of colour in the Summer.

Think that we are heading out for dinner again tonight! So unlike my family to eat out, but it's holiday! So I should probably go and slap some makeup on my face and find something to wear. Speak tomorrow xx

Light And Breezy

Yesterday we did some more exploring and found yet another beautiful spot. I actually think that Kefalonia is just one beautiful spot after another. Again there wasn't much of a beach here but the sea and swimming was just lovely. 

When the weather is as hot as this loose clothing is a must! This outfit was actually a total fluke, mum said that we were leaving and I grabbed a skirt and a white top from my cupboard to throw over my bikini. But I actually love how these two look together, white tops really do go with everything! 

Usually I tuck tops into this skirt but I love how this floaty and slightly cropped top looks over the skirt showing the scalloped lace detail. I also think it looks slightly bohemian which is a style that I love.

So sorry about the lack of posts yesterday, the internet was down. But it is back now and hopefully it will stay like that! Think we are heading out to a beach after lunch today so I am going to take my camera and capture some more beautiful shots. Speak later xx
