So as promised here is my outfit for the Capital Summertime Ball yesterday. I had such an amazing time there and saw so many amazing artists. I don't even know who I would say my favourite was as everyone was so good. Although Jason Derulo and Olly Murs were both such great performers. 

Yesterday was definitely the beginning of my summer and for once the weather was actually on my side. So to celebrate I wanted to wear something really summery. I chose to wear this beautiful top from Hollister that I had got a few weeks ago. It's in a lovely tile print and my favourite colours. 

Plus it has this cross strap back that I am just in love with. And what is even better is that you don't need a fancy backless or low cross back bra, just a strapless one!

Here you can see a picture of how I styled to top with the whole outfit. As the top is a print I chose to keep the rest of the outfit quite simple. I wore these stone coloured jeans that I picked up about 4 years ago on a school Spanish trip. And surprisingly enough if anything they were a bit too big! So now I desperately need to get my hands on some nice white jeans for the summer. Does anyone have any recommendations of where I can get some good quality ones that aren't too expensive but won't show my pants?!

For accessories I kept my jewellery really simple with some delicate gold jewellery. I wore my favourite necklace from accessorize right now, my gold watch and my turtle bracelet which always makes me feel summery. And in case you were wondering, yes it did get pretty gold in the evening. This is England after all! And when it did I wore a simple denim jacket that I picked up last year from Primark.

Today after a long morning of revision I went to meet a friend for a coffee in town. I say coffee, but really I ordered one of those delicious iced chocolate drinks with cream and sprinkles on top! Today the weather has been so gorgeous and it finally feels like I can start wearing all of my summer clothes. 

If you read a few posts back then you may recognise these shoes which I did a whole post on when they first arrived. And if you want more details and better pictures of these new shoes that I am totally obsessed with you can read my post here. So today I thought I would put a summery outfit together with my my new shoes. And I hope you like it. 

As the shoes are quite bold I wanted to keep the rest of the outfit nice and simple. The skirt is one that I picked up last year from Forever 21. It's in a lovely stone colour and a really flattering shape which means it goes with so much in my wardrobe. The little bag that I am wearing is about 5 years old! I remember seeing it and thinking that it looked exactly like a Chanel one. It is a copy (probably not the best) but now I just wear it as it is white, pretty and practical if I don't need very much stuff. 

My denim shirt it another recent purchase (I'm so bad!). I'd wanted this for ages but very few Zara's seemed to have it is stock, so the last time that I saw it I grabbed it. It's quite a thick denim material so it feels really nice quality and I love the beautiful pale shade of denim. I also love the little poppers and my favourite way to wear this is with a couple undone and then rolled-up sleeves.

Firstly I think I should probably address my hair in the photo above! I had just washed it and let it dry naturally but honestly however I dry my hair it always seems to go quite big and static for the first few hours!

Anyway, I have another outfit post for you today. The weather has been so lovely and it is just getting me even more excited for summer and beautiful summer clothes. 

I love this outfit as it is really simple and easy to throw on but still looks so pretty. The lace detail on this cardigan is so beautiful and it's slouchy style makes it perfect to throw on for everyday. This top is a really old plain top but I think that there are so many different tops that would work with this casual outfit. Also I just wanted an opportunity to wear this beautiful necklace that my brother got me for Christmas. It is just the cutest elephant, which is my favourite animal and I know I am going to wear this so much during Summer.

My Favourite Top



Last night I went out to the pub for some drinks to celebrate my friend's birthday. And I drove there! Still can't believe I am old enough to do either of those things! Anyway, like I mentioned in my last post I really wanted to share my outfit with you as I was wearing one of my all time favourite tops. 

The top is from Zara and I was lucky enough to get it for Christmas last year. It had caught my eye (and my heart!) while I was shopping with friends at university. But sadly it was near the end of term and my student loan wasn't going to stretch quite that far!



I really do love everything about this top. I love the fabric, even though it is 100% polyester the fabric is really thick and weighty so you don't have to worry about being able to see your bra and it just feels better quality that most other polyester tops. I love the unique print as well. It's very different to a lot of the other items in my wardrobe, not pastel or lace or floral. This printed top looks quite edgy and modern and was a step slightly out of my comfort zone when I bought it. But I think it looks beautiful with the contrasting sleeves and back panel. And as this is quite a loose fitting top I like to wear it with some really well-fitting black skinny jeans and my black heeled boots. 
 


For my makeup last night I did quite a subtle black smoky eye and then used loads of mascara. And I kept my lips really natural with my go to MAC Patisserie lipstick.

I love this pastel combination and the way the grey from the jumper is picked up in the scarf. 

I kept my makeup pretty simple but I am really loving my Too Faced Bourdoir Eyes palette at the moment. It's just a beautiful palette with beautiful colour that are perfect for nearly all occasions. I think I have a review of the palette coming up really soon if you are interested.

Today's Outfit And Makeup - 17/02/2015



Firstly Happy Pancake Day everyone! Its really crêped up quickly this year! Geddit?! 

Anyway, just another quick outfit post today. Something slightly smart and preppy that includes my new Zara trench coat that I am still in love with! 

 


I love the details on this navy top that I got in Paris this summer. The front zip is unusual and flirty and it also has little lace inserts on the sleeves. I felt this look needed a necklace but I kept it simple with this little gold pendent from H&M. 
 


For my makeup I used my MUA natural eyeshadow to do a really subtle navy smokey eye. I used the lighter shade all over my lids and then the dark shade on the outer corners and in my crease. With a fine angled brush I also used the darker shade as an eyeliner to line my top and bottom lashes as it looks a lot softer than a pencil or liquid. I finished the eye look with loads of my new Benefit roller lash mascara. 
 


Underneath my trench coat I paired my top with this old striped cardigan from Dorothy Perkins. It adds an extra bit of warmth as it is still pretty chilly up here and I love the preppy look. 
 

 


Same everyday jewellery and my light denim jeans. 
 


Finally I am totally in love with this lip colour from Sleek called Barely There. It's the perfect pinky coral and it's so pretty and brightening. Really getting me in the mood for Spring.
