MAC Velvet Teddy 

I finally got my hands on the MAC lipstick that I have wanted for ages, Velvet Teddy, also known as the Kylie Jenner lip shade. I picked it up on the way to Kefalonia at World Duty Free which meant that I managed to save a few pounds. Although in my head I think of duty free as huge discounted prices, and then every time I am reminded that I only ever save a few pounds! 

Velvet Teddy is a matte lipstick, which is something I don't usually go for as I find them quite drying on my lips. But this one still manages to feel moisturising and I think that fact that it is matte really increases its lasting power. I wore this during the holiday out to dinner with my family, and after a whole three course meal it still looked pretty perfect, and it barely came off on my glass. The actually shade is very natural but with a slight pinky brown tint. 

I have found that I am starting to build a bit of a collection of MAC lipsticks which is very exciting. The other shades that I have are Patisserie, which was the first one that I got and I wear all the time. It's my perfect nude shade and I will be so sad when this runs out. Actually I will probably just go and replace it straight away, I need this in my life! The other shade is also pretty new to my collection, Giddy. Again it is a very natural lustre shade but more pinky. 

Here is my go to everyday makeup look featuring MAC Velvet Teddy. I just do a simple slightly shimmery brown smokey eye which I think perfectly complements the brown tint in the lipstick. 

Hope you guys are having a lovely Wednesday. I got back home from Kefalonia yesterday afternoon and it is actually really lovely to be back. I love travelling and going on holiday, but there is something about living out of a suitcase that I am not so keen on. I like having ALL my stuff, and my home comforts. Plus it is finally cold enough here for me to drink lots of green tea again! It's pretty sad, but I was actually really missing it! xx

Kylie Jenner Inspired Look - Fuller Lips Trick

I have some pictures from a night out probably about a week ago now but I really wanted to share them with you as I really loved my makeup. The look that I was going for was kind of Kylie Jenner inspired although I don't look anything like her. I really wanted to do my own take on the nude eyes, big fluttery lashes and matte nude lips.  

To get my lashes as long and fluttery as possible I used Benefit Roller Lash mascara. I got the free sample with an Elle magazine and I haven't used any other mascara since. I wear this same mascara for everyday but for evenings you can really layer it up to get that false lash effect look and it doesn't go clumpy. 

For my Kylie Jenner inspired lips I first outlined my lips with MaXfactor colour elixir lip liner in 02 Pink Petal. This is a really lovely nude shade and I use this to slightly overdraw my lips and make them appear a bit fuller. I then used my Mac lipstick in Patisserie all over over my lips for my base nude shade. Using the tip of Rimmel lasting finish lipstick by Kate in the shade 08 I created a shadow on my lips. I did this by outlining my lips again especially on the bottom of my bottom lip and then smoothed it all out with my finger so there were no harsh lines. And finally I dabbed a little bit of white eyeshadow onto the centre of my bottom lip to make them appear really plump.

This beautiful black lace skater dress from H&M was such a good buy, I have worn this so many times as you can just throw it on for an effortless dressed up look and there are so many different ways that you can style it. A little black dress is something that every girl should have in their wardrobe!

Hope you liked this little style post. For the last few days I have just been lounging around the house with no makeup on and wearing lounge pants! And now looking at all these pictures makes me wish that I had something to get all dressed up for and spend time doing nice makeup. But I think tonight is just another Netflix evening! xx
