One of the first ever posts that I did on this blog was a review of the Naked 2 palette. And since then I think I've only ever spoken about it once again in a monthly favourites so I thought it was about time I gave one of my most used eye shadow palettes a bit of love.

There are so many different looks that you can do with these 12 beautiful colours but I thought I would share with you all one of my favourite evening eye makeup looks - a kind of shimmery bronze eye. 

To start off this look I used the shade Bootycall on my brow bone to help my brows appear neater and right in the inner corner of my eye to brighten and wake up my eyes. I then took the shade Suspect and swept this all over my lids as the base of my makeup. Using the very glittery shade YDK I concentrated the shadow on the outer half of both my eyes. I also used this colour in a very thin line along my bottom lashes to bring the eye look together and create a more smokey effect. Then finally to add some definition I used the second darkest shade Busted and blended this into the very outer corner of my eyes and along my crease.

To finish the eye look I use a thin line of black liquid eyeliner on my top lashes, a brown pencil eyeliner in my waterline and lots of mascara.

Simple Makeup For Lectures, School or Work

Being at uni and having early lectures means that when I wake up in the morning I usually don't have a lot of time as I want to have the longest lie in possible. But I still want to look nice and like I have made a bit of an effort. Recently I have been reaching for the same products every morning that are so quick and easy to use so I thought that I would share them all with you.

• Boujois healthy balance powder (53 light beige)
• Sleek blusher (suede)

• Natural Collection eyeshadow (crushed walnut)
• Collection colour lash clear mascara

Eyes

• MUA undressed eyeshadow palette (shades 3 and 5)
• Eyeko skinny liquid eyeliner in black 
• The Bdy Shop define and lengthen mascara 

Lips

• Vaseline
• Topshop lipstick (mink)

Last Nights Party Outfit

Last Nights Party Outfit 

Being in my freshers week at university means that over the past few days I have been out a lot. And while quite a few of those times has been in a university t-shirt or a fancy dress costume last night I finally managed to wear something pretty. So I thought I would quickly share this outfit with you and I hope you all like it. 

Monochrome is really in at the moment so I kept by colour palette to black and white and then accessorised with some jewellery. I love this outfit as I think it is really simple and classy but also quite clubbing appropriate at the same time. And this was the first time that I have worn a cropped top with a high waisted skirt and I really love how it looks. The skirt I actually bought yesterday (so much for student budgeting!) and I love the subtle textured pattern and it has a lovely gold zip part the way down the back. I am going to be looking for more cropped tops now to pair with this skirt and others that I own. Would love to hear in the comments places where I can get really pretty cropped tops from.

Natural Barely There Makeup Look

So this holiday has basically just been me sitting at my desk trying to revise. And because I have barely been leaving the house most days I have just been in lounge pants with a top knot and no makeup. However yesterday I went out for lunch with a friend that I have know since I was about 3 for a catch up. Going days without doing my makeup actually make me even more excited to finally get to sit in front of the mirror. But as this was only a lunch date and it was sunny I wanted a look that was really natural and light on my skin. This look is very similar to the makeup that I wear to school and I love how quick and easy it is to do. 

Firstly I used a small amount of my Clinique sample moisturiser all over my face to prep my skin. Afterwards I used my Rimmel London matte BB cream on my skin as a light cover up. I fell in love with this stuff from my first use but I don't want to talk anymore about it now as I think it really deserves it's own blog post! Then I concealed a few blemishes, spot scars and my dark circles with my favourite concealer which is the Collection lasting perfection concealer. Which reminds me, have you guys read my last blog post on how to reduce dark circles, if not you can check it out here. 

Afterwards I used a tip which I got from a recent Tanya Burr video which is to use bronzer as an eyeshadow to warm up the skin and look really natural. Like Tanya I have the Bourjois chocolate bronzer which I sweeped over my lids and then along my lower lash line. As we were keeping this makeup look really simple I then left my eyeshadow at that. I used a brown eye liner pencil to then outline the whole of my eye really lightly. I had never actually tried this before but I think it really makes the eyes too bigger and brighter. And I would definitely stick to brown as it is a lot more natural that black, don't press too hard and try to keep the mine as thin as possible. I then curled my eyelashes using my No7 curlers and then did a few strokes of my Clinique high impact mascara. 

To complete the look I decided not to fill my eyebrows in but just set them in place using the collection clear mascara. I then used the same bronzer to define my cheekbones (or lack of!) and warm up the rest on my face. To finish I applied a tiny amount of Rimmel soft colour blush in pink rose to my cheeks and my Deluxe lipstick in the shade 03 Charleston.
