Winter Fashion Inspiration

Every now and again I love making these inspiration boards. These are just some images that I found on Pinterest and WeHeartIt of Winter trends and style. Right now I'm all about a more minimal style. Back to basic classic pieces, like white shirts, grey jumpers and beige trench coats. Mixing different textures in a neutral colour palette for a luxurious feel. I'm also really into layering different pieces, especially now it has suddenly got so cold! I love collars with a jumper and turned up cuffs, but nothing is really new there!

Soap and Glory Brow Archery 

I don't even know how long I have been wanting to try this product for! There was so much hype around it and so many raving reviews but for some reason I never got around to giving it a go myself. 

However recently I found I had quite a few points on my Boots card (it really doesn't take that long!) and this is what I chose. 

The Brow Archery is designed with two different ends to fill in and shape your brows. The end that you should use first is the pen end (more like a felt pen to me) which is to fill in and shade your brows. I like to use this to fill in any gaps or sparser areas in my brows. However I have pretty dark eyebrows and even though I went for a brown shade it takes a while for this to show up. I'm a little worried that some time soon this end is going to dry out or run out.

The other end of the Brow Archery is the crayon end which is similar to lots of other brow products out right now. The shade of this is perfect for my eyebrows as it is quite cool toned. I also love the texture of this as it is slightly waxy and applies really nicely, it doesn't drag on the skin like other brow products I have tried before. This is amazing for getting that perfect brow shape really quickly. 

I have medium brown hair and slightly darker eyebrows so the shade that I went for was Brownie Points. I think this is a really great colour for me as it doesn't have any orangey undertones to make my brows look reddish. Soap and Glory also do a blonde shade that is meant to be very good and then an even darker shade. 

Since I bought this I haven't reached for anything else to do my brows with. In fact, I was so confident with it that I threw out my old brow kit which was all grubby and had started to fall apart. 

So if you haven't yet tried the Brow Archery then I would really recommend it. I don't think my brows have ever looked so good. I might even stretch as far as saying that with this and a bit of time I can get my brows "on fleek"!

ORLY Rose Gold Nail Polish

ORLY Rose Gold Nail Polish 

Rose gold is one of my favourite colour still, not only for jewellery but also for beauty. I love wearing rose gold eye shadow. In fact I did a rose gold eyeshadow look blog post that you can go and check out here. 

Anyway, you can imagine how happy I was when I received this nail polish in last months ELLE magazine. This is such a gorgeous unique shade that looks so beautiful on the nails. 

ORLY is a brand that I have heard of before but never got around to trying. I was really impressed by the consistency of the polish and how well it applied. The brush was really lovely too although not quite as good as Essie. But what really impressed me was this shade. I honestly can't get over how beautiful this colour is. It is quite natural and not overly bold but still looks a little bit special and different. 

Did you get to try last months nail polish in ELLE? I am really impressed with the freebies in ELLE recently. I got this months through the post today and they have a lovely Benefit gift that I can't wait to try. Speak soon xx

New Favourite Jumper

New Favourite Jumper

I thought that it was about time that I shared with you the jumper that I have basically been living in for the last week. I spotted it last weekend and immediately fell in love. It is the perfect combination of everything I love. A soft slouchy jumper, pale grey, a crew neckline, and navy and white stripes. 

I am really loving H&M right now, they have some really lovely pieces that look really expensive. I am also all about a more minimal style of dressing at the moment. So this jumper with this simple layered gold necklace also from H&M and some skinny jeans has become my everyday uniform.
