Two Tops from DressLink

Two Tops from DressLink

When it comes to dressing I am all for affordable fashion that looks classy and expensive. So when I was recently sent a couple of pieces by DressLink I felt very lucky to be introduced to a brand that offers exactly this. Somewhere that you are able to find a whole outfit for under £20!

The first top that I chose what this long sleeved black jumper with a chiffon underlay. I never really used to wear a lot of black but recently I am coming to understand why it is such a popular colour. It feels so expensive and classic especially in the design of this jumper. I also love the grey and white style but I have so many grey jumpers I thought that I would try and branch out a bit! This jumper is perfect for this time of year and has the 3/4 sleeves which I find the most flattering style. The pictures in the bottom left shows how I styled this one day. Medium skinny jeans and a thin beige gilet with some gold jewellery.

You can find this top on the DressLink website here. And it's less than £4!

The second top is more classic Katherine, pretty, floaty and pastel! I love the shape and of course the gorgeous pleated detail on the back. As you can see in the last photo this top just makes me want to spin like a princess! I styled this top with some black skinny jeans and back heeled boots which I thought would be perfect for an evening out. I also put my hair in a low messy ponytail to add to the casual relaxed look.

You can find this beautiful blouse here on the DressLink website for again less can £4!

Hope you guys like these two tops and how I have styled them. Expect to see them again soon in some more outfit posts as I can't stop wearing both of these. And go and check out all the lovely affordable clothes on the DressLink website here

Sunday Snaps

Sunday Snaps

Katherine Penney Chic Blogger Weekend Life Photography Haul Shopping

After a busy and sometimes stressful week I had a nice relaxing weekend. I woke up early on Saturday morning to go to the library and finish some work. And then after lunch I went and did a little bit of shopping. I treated myself to two things that I had wanted for a while, one clothing item and one beauty item. And I'm going to do another post sometime this week to show you what I bought so for now you will just have to keep an eye out for that!

Katherine Penney Chic Blogger Weekend Life Photography Reading Relax Book

Something that I have really been enjoying recently is reading. It's usually something that I only find time for during the holidays. So while I miss having wifi and watching Netflix getting back into reading as a way to relax before bed is something I have really been enjoying. The book that I have started this weekend is One Step Too Far by Tine Seskis and I am already half way through!

Yesterday I got a parcel from my mum saying that her friend (who has really lovely clothes) was having a clear out and wondered if I wanted this top. It fits perfectly and looks so beautiful just with a pair of simple jeans. And I love the unique texture and pattern of the top.

Another way that I have been relaxing recently is colouring! I know, it is something that you probably haven't done since you were a child. But recently adult colouring books have been having a bit of a moment. I have this beautiful Tropical Wonderland one that has some really lovely intricate designs.

This was just yesterday outfit. Keeping warm it lots of layers. And feeling quite preppy for my trip to the library. This navy cable knit jumper was actually Jack's until his mum shrunk it in the wash and just gave it to me. Free Jack Wills jumper! But it is probably one of the warmest things that I own and I think now it is a little smaller it does look like a girls jumper.

And of course lots of tea drinking this weekend! Hope everyone else has had a good weekend. It has honestly gone so quickly, and I can't believe that we are over half way through October already! But next weekend I am going to my grandparents are we are having a huge family get together for my grandpa's birthday, and I am so excited to see everyone again.

Neutrals

Neutrals

Katherine Penney Chic Blogger Fashion Style Outfit Winter Neutrals Trench Coat Scarf White Pastel Pretty

This outfit is basically my style in one look. Simple classic pieces in neutral tones. The weather is getting so much colder and the evenings are getting darker sooner but I still love wearing these lighter shades.

This coat is still my favourite. I love the classic trench coat style and how it smartens up an outfit. Zara always does really beautiful coats.

The top that I am wearing is a really beautiful white 3/4 sleeved top from Joules. It is quite a summery piece but layered under more wintery piece like in this outfit it adds a nice texture and still works really well. I'm also wearing my H&M grey wool scarf which I am still obsessing over. It is just the warmest cosiest thing and I feel like I am wearing a huge blanket!

For this simple classic look I kept my makeup nice and natural. A subtle brown smokey eye with a little bit of liquid liner and a natural pinky lip colour. The lip colour that I am wearing is one of the Rimmel London Kate Moss ones that also feature in my most recent favourites.

I am writing this post while sitting in Nero with a white chocolate mocha (my favourite) and a warm muffin. Very blogger style! I even took a picture of the whole set up! It is so lovely and making me think that I should do this more often, but I'm not sure my purse will stretch that far. Although while we don't have wifi it is a nice little treat after a long day! And the perfect way to start the weekend xx

Winter Whites

Winter Whites

Katherine Penney Chic blog style life photography white winter warm home cue cosy pretty pastel milkshake

Today was my day off yet it has gone so quickly I don't really feel like I have made the most of it. I wondered around the shops for a bit looking for a pair of shoes that I never found. I did however try on a beautiful dress in Mango. It was bottle green and in a shift dress style and would have looked perfect with some thick Winter tights for the day or black tight and heels for something dressier. But I couldn't bring myself to buy it. But if I keep thinking about it as much as I have since I tried it on then maybe I will have to go back and get it.

Today I also treated myself to a Malteasers milkshake. I made it myself with my Nutribullet, not sure milkshakes are really what is was meant for! But it tasted so good and I still have a huge bag of Malteasers left!

The house has started to get a little chilly so I have been living in my slippers from Primark and snuggling up in lots of big jumpers and fluffy blankets. it's so lovely in the evening with my candle and fairy lights on. Winter is definitely on its way!

Katherine Penney Chic blog style life photography white winter warm home cue cosy pretty pastel milkshake calvin klein sports bra grey

Another thing that I have really been loving at the moment is my Calvin Klein sports bra. It is just the comfiest thing ever and it still looks super stylish. I have been wearing this under big jumpers and slouchy tops a lot. Although I am pretty small on top anyway so I hope i don't look too much like a teenage boy! But this also looks really cool under a sheer shirt and a leather jacket.

I am so desperate to get the matching pants too. Not really sure why! They are nearly £20 for a pair of grey cotton pants. Although then I can be matching and in my mind that would make it worth it! xx
