Finally...My Dorm Room Tour
After six weeks of being here I have finally found the time to get my room to a point where I am happy with it and want to share it with you. If you have seen the pictures of my bedroom when I was at home you will notice they are quite different. My bedroom at home was quite a bit bigger with pretty minimalistic decor and a lot of white. And while I do love and prefer that style I wanted to make my university room a lot more homely as well as practical. I wanted more storage, more colours and a pretty girlie room covered with photos of friends, family and everyone I love. So yes, this is definitely a very girlie room with a fair amount of pink and flowers! But I hope you like it!
This is my whole desk and I think I've been really lucky with how big it is. I also have a pretty nice view out my window of the trees and some of the grounds of my halls.
As you can see a lot of my desk is filled up with all of my beauty things! Typical! The white drawers I bought from home and they are just so useful for keeping everything nice and tidy. I like to store all my hair ties and clips, nail care products, extra nail polish and face masks in these drawers. My makeup is stored in my Muji storage (which is getting pretty full!) and another plastic storage from TK Maxx.
I like to keep my desk as clear and possible so I have more space to work and it feels less cluttered. For stationery I just have my Ted Baker pencil case, a letter stack with post-it notes, cards and notepads and a little box of paper for notes. Everything else including my books I like to keep in the Ikea drawers under my desk.
Above my mini white drawers I have a pretty girlie display of my Ikea fake white flowers, my Daisy Dream perfume, an Eiffel tower ornament which I got in Paris this summer and a few of my favourite Essie nail polishes.
My phone and diary as you can see in this photo are more often kept in my handbag!
You might recognise a few of these from here!
When I was shopping for university I could't find any cushions that I really liked so I chose this fabric and made the three square cushion covers myself. I think they turned out really well! The cute heart cushion I picked up not to long ago on a trip to Primark. And the throw you can see here is by Hugo Boss and it is so soft and snuggly!
On my filing cabinets by my wardrobe I like to keep some of my fashion magazines.
This is like my bedside table and all of these 3 boxes/bag contain jewellery!
Running across nearly all of the wall above my bed I have a very long pinboard. This is what took me so long to finish!
Pink products and Ted Baker wash bag.
Some of my pin board covered in images that I like and photos of people (and pets!) that I love. For the backing of my pin board I used different pretty wrapping paper.
In the middle of the pin board I have this pretty heart shaped jewellery hanger for all of my most worn necklaces and bracelets. The white lantern light here are from Primark.
Even more of my pin board! The heart shaped fairly light you can see I found really cheap on Ebay.
Of course Taylor found her way onto the board!
Hope you liked having a little peek around my university room. It's not the most fancy or modern of bedroom as I am in quite an old block. Yesterday we finally got wifi in the building! But I am really happy with how my room and turned out. And seeing my pin board everyday covered with people that I love just makes me feel so happy.
If you see anything in any of these photos that you want to know where it comes from then just leave a comment below and I will try and find out for you xx
Oh dear! Your bedroom is soooo cute!
